The client was sued over a contract he had entered into with the plaintiff’s daughter. He asked our firm to defend him.

The plaintiff sought termination of the contract and repayment of the money his daughter had paid under it. The court had to determine whether there was a legal basis for that demand.

The first-instance court dismissed the claim. The appellate court upheld the decision, and the losing party was ordered to pay litigation costs.
